I harvested the wood for this bowl locally in California’s Central Valley and hand-turned it in my shop. The grain is the real star here—showing off a striking contrast between pale, honey-warm tones and deep, stormy grays.
Finished with 100% food-grade tung oil, this piece is safe for everything from a fresh salad to a centerpiece display. Because this was born from urban harvesting, you’re getting a piece of local history that was saved from the chipper and turned into functional art.
