Shou Sugi Ban Orange Bowl, 5" x 1.5"

This handcrafted bowl, turned from solid orange wood, is a study in contrast. The exterior is charred to a rich, textured black inspired by the traditional Japanese shou sugi ban method, a process that preserves the wood while highlighting its grain. The interior reveals the wood's natural beauty, with a smooth, warm yellow surface and subtle tan grain highlights. Perfect for serving snacks, holding trinkets, or simply as a decorative piece. Finished with a food-safe 100% tung oil, this bowl is as functional as it is beautiful.

Care Instructions: Hand wash only. Do not put in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Do not store while still wet. Re-apply 100% food grade tung oil, 100% food grade walnut oil, or 100% food grade mineral oil occasionally to help preserve this piece for a lifetime.
