When you hold this large serving bowl, you're touching a piece of a magnificent white oak that witnessed over a century of seasons. The day that old giant fell, I felt a sense of loss, but also a calling to give its wood a second chapter. From the rough cut of the chainsaw to the first spin on the lathe, followed by more than a year of careful drying, each step was a connection to that tree's long life. The second and final turning brought this generous form to being. Finished with food-safe, pure 100% tung oil, it is ready to share meals and memories for generations to come.

Care Instructions: Hand wash only. Do not put in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Do not store while still wet. Re-apply 100% food grade tung oil, 100% food grade walnut oil, or 100% food grade mineral oil occasionally to help preserve this piece for a lifetime.
